Ingredients (Serves 2)

  • 1 cup sabudana
  • 1 medium potato, boiled and diced
  • ¼ cup roasted peanuts, crushed
  • 1 green chili, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 5-6 curry leaves
  • 1 tablespoon ghee or coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons grated coconut
  • 2 tablespoons yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon sendha namak
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons coriander leaves, chopped

Steps to prepare at home:

  1. Rinse 1 cup sabudana in and soak it overnight.

     

  2. Drain excess water and let it rest for 10 minutes. 
  3. Boil 1 potato and saute it well in ghee for crispiness. 
  4. Dry roast ¼ cup peanuts and grind them coarsely. 
  5. Heat ghee in a pan and add cumin seeds, chopped green chillies, and curry leaves. 
  6. Add diced potatoes, salt and crushed peanuts. 
  7. Now, add the soaked sabudana and stir gently on low flame for 4-5 minutes until it turns translucent. 
  8. Squeeze some lemon juice on top, along with fresh coriander and grated coconut before serving.
