Washington: The son of the suspect in Donald Trump ‘s second assassination bid, Ryan Wesley Routh’s son, Oran Routh claimed that his father hated Trump but was not a violent person. In a conversation with Daily Mail, the 35-year-old son said that he could not believe his father was responsible for the attack.
When asked about his whereabouts, Oran said that this was the first time he had heard about the incident and asked if his father was injured or shot.
“This was the first time I heard about it. Was my father shot or injured?”
He further revealed that his father was not very fond of Trump and hated him. He added that he doesn’t like Trump.
“I don’t like Trump either.”
“He’s my dad and all he’s had is a couple of traffic tickets, as far as I know. That’s crazy. I know my dad and love my dad, but that’s nothing like him.”

Oran also revealed that he didn’t know that his father was in Florida. He said Ryan moved to the state a few years ago and was living with his long-time girlfriend.
“He was at the beach, but I thought that meant the outer banks in Hawaii. I didn’t ask him for more information because we’ve had a falling out. We’ve grown apart.”
Oran emphasised that his father, the alleged suspect is not a violent person but a hard worker.
“He’s not a violent person. He’s a hard worker and a great dude, a nice guy and has worked his whole f***ing life.”
When asked if he had any idea that his father had a gun, Oran said, “Not that I know of. I’ve never known him to own a gun or known him to do anything bats*** like this.” He added that he has known his father a general contractor who builds houses in Hawaii, Daily Mail reported.
On Sunday, multiple gunshots were fired at Trump while he was enjoying a game of golf at his club in West Palm Beach. Following the attack, the former US President was rushed to a safer place.
