Israeli troops have destroyed Hezbollah’s four underground infrastructure, including a key Tunnel used by Hezbollah’s elite force known as Radwan Force. Israeli troops have carried out targeted ground raids in southern Lebanon, focusing on destroying Hezbollah’s underground infrastructure. The operation, led by the 8th Brigade and the elite Yahalom Unit under the 91st Division, was based on precise intelligence and involved the destruction of four major Hezbollah tunnels. IDF has also shared the video of the demolition blast.
Key Tunnel Demolished
Among the tunnels demolished was one that the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) identified as a key passage used by Hezbollah’s Radwan Force, the group’s elite unit. The tunnel contained a command center, weapons depot, living quarters, and equipment such as scooter bikes.
In addition to the tunnel, Israeli soldiers discovered and destroyed dozens of weapons and other Hezbollah equipment. The operation also targeted more than 50 tunnel shafts and three other major tunnels, with over 100 tons of explosives used in the demolition.
Israel’s Ground Operation Began on Oct 1
Israel’s ground operations in southern Lebanon began on October 1 after almost a year of escalating tensions with Hezbollah. While Israel has emphasized that the raids are localized and targeted, the conflict has displaced tens of thousands of Israelis and more than one million Lebanese, many of whom support Hezbollah.
Hezbollah’s Tunnel Network
Hezbollah, heavily armed and backed by Iran, has built an extensive network of tunnels to evade Israeli air power. Experts believe these tunnels are not just limited to southern Lebanon, making them a central element in the group’s strategy against Israel.
