IND vs ZIM: Ravi Bishnoi nails bullseye to run out Jonathan Campbell in 4th T20I

New Delhi: Indian spinner Ravi Bishnoi made a tremendous effort in the field which saw Zimbabwe all-rounder Jonathan Campbell on his way back to the pavilion during the fourth T20 International match played at the Harare Sports Club in Harare on Saturday.

During the 15th over bowled by Bishnoi in the Zimbabwean innings, Sikandar Raza placed the ball to the bowler’s right and attempted for a quick single. But an agile Bishnoi was quick to respond as he ran across to collect the ball, seeing which Raza asked Campbell to return back to the non-striker’s end.

However, by the time Raza opted to deny for the single, Campbell was already at the halfway mark of the pitch. And before the Zimbabwean all-rounder could return back to the crease, Bishnoi slid and threw the ball off-balance, leading to a direct hit with one of the three stumps being dislodged. An attempted dive from Campbell went in vain as he fell short of his destination.

Ravi Bishnoi goes wicketless in 4th T20I

Ravi Bishnoi was the only one of the six bowlers used by Shubman Gill in the fourth T20I to finish his spell without a wicket. Khaleel Ahmed, who opened the bowling attack for India, picked a couple of wickets, while debutant Tushar Deshpande, Washington Sundar, Abhishek Sharma, and Shivam Dube added one wicket each to their innings as India restricted Zimbabwe to 152 for 7 in the first innings.

Abhishek Sharma, who bowls as a part-timer for his IPL team Sunrisers Hyderabad, claimed his maiden international scalp after Zimbabwe opener Tadiwanashe Marumani lofted for a big dividend but was holed out by Rinku Singh at deep mid-wicket. Raza top-scored for Zimbabwe with 46 runs coming off 28 deliveries to put on a sizeable total for the hosts.
