Rohit and Co. defeated South Africa by six runs in the final of the T20 World Cup 2024 in Barbados and ended India’s long-standing ICC trophy drought on June 29. After winning the World Cup, Rohit, Virat and Jadeja announced their retirement from the shortest format of the game.

When the Men in Blue arrived in India from Barbados, the whole country welcomed them with huge cheers. Rohit showcased the T20 World Cup trophy at the Delhi Airport while Hardik Pandya flaunted the trophy at the Mumbai Airport. The Indian team also met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence for breakfast.
