New Delhi: India will take on Zimbabwe in the third T20I of the five-match series scheduled at the Harare Sports Club in Harare on Wednesday. The Men in Blue defeated Zimbabwe by 100 runs and levelled the series at 1-1. Sikandar Raza-led team defeated India by 13 runs in the first T20I but Shubman Gill and Co. made a sensational comeback in the second T20I.
India opted to bat first in the second T20I and posted 234 runs in the 20 overs. Muzarabani dismissed Shubman Gill in the second over but Abhishek Sharma along with Ruturaj Gaikwad stitched a 137-run partnership. Abhishek scored his maiden T20I century in 46 balls, his remarkable knock was laced with seven boundaries and eight maximums. Gaikwad also scored an unbeaten 77 runs off 47 balls with the help of 11 boundaries and one maximum.
Chasing the target of 235, Madhevere scored 43 runs off 39 balls but apart from him no Zimbabwe batter was able to contribute to the run-chase. Mukesh Kumar and Avesh Khan picked up three wickets each. Ravi Bishnoi also took two wickets in the match.
