India win gold in mixed relay; Tejaswin Shankar bags silver at Asian Athletics Championships

New Delhi: India’s 4x400m mixed relay team successfully defended their gold medal at the Asian Athletics Championships 2025 with a dominant performance in the final on Wednesday, May 28. The Indian quartet consisting of Santosh Kumar, Vishal TK, Subha Venkatesan and Rupal Chaudhary won the gold medal in 4x400m mixed relay with a timing of 3:18.12 seconds.

Meanwhile, Tejaswin Shankar bagged the silver medal in men’s decathlon, and Praveen Chithravel took silver in men’s triple jump to take India’s overall medal tally to 8 on Day 2 of the Asian Athletics Championships in South Korea. Shankar, who has been training in the US for a long time now, finished second in the decathlon with a score of 7618 following the regulation 10 events.
