Mumbai: The Indian Navy will host a grand Operational Demonstration at the iconic Blue Flag Beach in Puri, Odisha, on December 4, 2024, to commemorate Navy Day. The event is scheduled to start from 4 pm onwards. This significant occasion marks the anniversary of Operation Trident, a critical naval offensive during the 1971 Indo-Pak War, showcasing the Navy’s might and commitment to safeguarding India’s maritime interests.
Honourable President of India, Droupadi Murmu, will grace the event as the Chief Guest, with Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, the Chief of Naval Staff, hosting the ceremony. This marks the first Navy Day celebration on the Odisha coast, a landmark moment emphasising the region’s maritime legacy.
