New Delhi: Gujarat Titans (GT) pacer Mohammed Siraj was seen doing batting practice in the nets ahead of his side’s clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 on Sunday. This left his skipper, Shubman Gill, and SRH batter Ishan Kishan amused as the two shared a light-hearted moment and playfully reacted to their Team India mate’s batting skills.
Kishan and Gill are very close to each other and were reunited during the training session of both GT and SRH at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. The two batters hyped up Siraj as they watched from a distance and indulged in a conversation around Kishan bowling to him several times (maybe in Team India). Siraj, a fast bowler, usually comes down the batting order with the other tailenders of the team and is often the last man standing.
The video of the incident was captured and posted by GT on their social media handles, and it instantly went viral. Fans were left in splits watching the two rate Siraj’s batting skills.

GT, SRH campaigns so far
GT started their IPL 2025 campaign on a dull note, losing the opener against Punjab Kings (PBKS), but recovered strongly as they beat both Mumbai Indians (MI) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the following two matches. This will put them high on confidence when they will face SRH at their home ground, the Uppal Stadium. On the other hand, SRH have been totally opposite of GT.
The Pat Cummins-led side started their season in some style, hitting 286 against Rajasthan Royals (RR), eventually winning the game, but lost their next three games on the trot, against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), Delhi Capitals (DC), and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
Ahead of the SRH vs GT clash, Mohammed Siraj donned the pads for batting practice in the nets, leaving Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill in splits. Here’s what the duo had to say. Cricket Sports News: Latest Cricket News, Cricket Live Score, Sports Breaking News from Sports Today
