New Delhi: Rajasthan Royals pacer Jofra Archer cleaned up Gujarat Titans’ skipper Shubman Gill’s stumps with a peach during their Indian Premier League encounter on Wednesday. After the Royals won the toss and invited the Titans to bat first, the hosts had a bad start to the innings as they lost in-form Gill cheaply on the first ball of the third over.

Gill opened the batting for the Titans with Sai Sudharsan and accumulated 7 runs in the first over of the innings bowled by Archer. As many runs were scored in the second over with Sudharsan doing the major scoring. While the batter looked in a fine touch, the first delivery of third over bowled by the lethal pacer came as a shocker with Gill getting out on just 2 runs off 3 balls. The 147.7 kmph delivery was pitched outside the off stump but the incoming ball deceived Gill as he attempted to play a shot but missed it.

The delivery uprooted the off stump of the batter resulting in the first dismissal for the Titans. The Gujarat skipper has had a fine outing in the IPL thus far with scores of 14, 33, 38, and 61 not out in the last four games but the home game against the Royals didn’t go in his favour as he ended up losing his wicket. Seasoned veteran Jos Buttler came on to the crease to replace the Titans skipper.
