New Delhi: In what comes as a major development, the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 is likely to resume from next week after being suspended on Friday due to India-Pakistan tensions. This decision comes in the wake of the announcement of a ceasefire between India and Pakistan which took place on Saturday evening.
According to a report in SportsTak, the remaining 16 matches of the cash-rich league will take place in the country from next week after the one week suspension ends. The 18th edition of the league was halted initially on Thursday evening with the match between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Delhi Capitals (DC) suspended midway in Dharamshala.
Tensions increased a day after which led to the BCCI suspending the league. However, since a ceasefire has been announced, then the league can start next week, but the dates are not out yet.
