New Delhi: Priyansh Arya enjoyed a stellar campaign in his debut Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season, playing a key role in Punjab Kings’ superb run to the final. The Delhi left-hander announced himself on the big stage with a magnificent century early on in IPL 2025, hitting a 42-ball 103 in PBKS’ win over Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
Besides the scintillating century, Arya also scored two fifties and even when he didn’t make a big score, the talented batter always made sure to give Punjab brisk starts and set a good platform for the batters to follow.
Arya aggregated 475 runs in 17 matches at a decent average of 29.13 and a superb strike rate of 179.23.
Signed as an uncapped player at the IPL mega-auction, Arya enjoyed a remarkable time in his debut IPL season and climbed atop an elite list that was previously led by Devdutt Padikkal with Shreyas Iyer in the second spot.
Courtesy of his consistent performances, Arya became the highest run-scorer as an uncapped Indian batter in the debut IPL season, surpassing some famous names.

RCB fail to cross 200-run mark
Arya looked in sublime touch, but his innings was cut short in the fifth over on 24 off 19 balls as PBKS made a solid start in the chase of a 191-run target in the IPL 2025 final. Earlier, RCB, after being sent into bat, huffed and puffed to 190 for 9 as Punjab Kings’ bowlers finished strongly to restrict the Bengaluru-based side.
RCB batters made good starts but failed to convert them into big scores, which might cost them in the end. Virat Kohli was the top scorer for RCB with 43 but was heavily trolled for taking 35 balls to score his runs.
Kyle Jameison was the pick of the bowlers for PBKS, picking up three wickets.
