New Delhi: Delhi Capitals (DC) rode on an impressive knock of unbeaten 58 off 25 balls from Sameer Rizvi to beat Punjab Kings (PBKS) by six wickets to end their campaign with a win in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. Rizvi’s blistering half-century helped DC chase down the target of 207 runs comfortably to bag their seventh win of the season and sign off from the tournament on a high.

In the absence of regular skipper Axar Patel, Faf du Plessis led DC in their final game of the season against Punjab Kings and got them off to a strong start in the 207-run chase at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. Du Plessis combined with KL Rahul to share a 55-run opening stand for DC to set the tone for a successful chase for them.

Du Plessis scored 23 off 15 balls while Rahul hammered 35 runs off 21 balls. The duo departed in successive overs as DC stuttered in the chase, but Karun Nair’s sedate 44 and Rizvi’s unbeaten 58, along with Tristan Stubbs’ cameo of 14-ball 18, helped the Duplessis-led side get home without breaking a sweat.
