New Delhi: The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 is all set to get underway from March 22 with defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) taking on Virat Kohli-starrer Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in a blockbuster opener at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. IPl 2025 will witness 74 matches across 65 days with 13 venues hosting the matches. Eden Gardens will also host the IPL 2025 final on May 25.
Apart from hosting the IPL 2025 opener and the final, the Eden Gardens in Kolkata will host the 2nd Qualifier on May 23. The other two playoff matches – Qualifier 1 and the Eliminator will be played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, the home of IPL 2024 runners-up Sunrisers Hyderabad.
