Iran Signals Openness to Trump, Urges Reassessment of His ‘Maximum Pressure’ Policy

New Delhi, India: Iran has signaled an openness to the former US President Donald Trump , calling on him to reconsider his policies towards Tehran following Washington’s accusations of Iranian involvement in a plot to kill Trump.

Speaking to reporters, Mohammad Javad Zarif, Iran’s Vice President for Strategic Affairs, urged Trump to reassess his “maximum pressure” strategy, which was implemented during his first term. Zarif’s comments came in the wake of ongoing tensions between the two countries, as the U.S. accuses Iran of plotting an attack against Trump.

“Trump must show that he is not following the wrong policies of the past,” Zarif stated.
