New Delhi: EPF Form 10D is mandatory for an Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) subscriber to receive pension after retirement. A part of EPFO contributions made against the name of the EPF subscriber goes towards his Employees’ Pension Scheme (EPS) account. All employees registered with the EPFO are automatically enrolled in the EPS.

According to the EPFO, subscribers should make all the necessary preparations to get pension seamlessly post retirement. Submission of EPF Form 10D is mandatory for receipt of EPS pension. EPF subscribers become eligible for EPS 95 pension after being in service for 10 consecutive years. They can draw pension after they are 58 years of age. However, they become eligible to draw pension even from 50 years of age, but, then, they will get reduced pension. So, let’s see how a EPF subscriber can submit the form 10D with the EPFO.
How to submit EPF Form 10D
You can go on the EPFO’S website to submit EPF Form 10D. Just follow below mentioned steps:
Go to www.epfindia.gov.in
Under ‘Service’ tab click on ‘For Employees’
Then, click on Member UAN/Onlne Service (OCS/OTCP) option
Then, enter your UAN, password and captcha on the new page that opens and sign in
Go to online services and click on claim form
Then ,you will have to verify your bank account number
Then, click on ‘Yes’ under terms and conditions
A new screen will throw open. There, click on ‘Proceed For Online Claim’
Select No in case of ‘Scheme Certificate’ and ‘Deferred Pension’
Then, you will have to upload either of the following:
Cheque against your name
Scan copy of attested passbook of your bank account
Click on choose file to upload either of these two documents
Then, a new page opens, and click on Get Aadhaar OTP
Mention the OTP and click on ‘Validate OTP and Submit Claim Form’
You are good to go. Your form 10D will be successfully submitted.
