New Delhi: Popular YouTuber IShowSpeed grabbed the attention of fans with his viral Lionel Messi moment during the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 opener between Inter Miami and Al Ahly at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida, on Sunday. Speed turned up at the game, wearing a Cristiano Ronaldo shirt and tried to meet Messi, but was ignored by the Argentine legend.
Speed, who is a huge Ronaldo fan, was seen expressing his support for the Portuguese superstar at the game as thousands turned up at the stadium to watch Messi in action. However, Speed couldn’t control his excitement as he tried to grab Messi’s attention inside the tunnel at the stadium. But much to the YouTuber’s disappointment, Messi didn’t pay attention.
In a video that has gone viral on social media, Speed can be seen standing on the side, near former Portugal and Real Madrid defender Pepe, when Messi walks out. The Inter Miami star catches up with Pepe, but goes on to ignore Speed despite the YouTuber shouting his name. The clip of the incident has sparked a buzz on social media.

Earlier, Speed was seen talking to former Argentina and Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero, asking for his assistance in helping him meet Messi. However, Messi’s former Argentina teammate playfully teased the YouTuber over his decision to rock a Ronaldo shirt for Messi’s match at the Hard Rock Stadium.

Inter Miami held to goalless draw by Al Ahly
Talking about the match, Messi’s Inter Miami were held to a goalless draw by Egyptian giants Al Ahly in the opening match of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 as both teams shared points. Messi endured a quiet first half but found his rhythm in the second half and helped his team dictate the proceedings. However, the Argentine maestro failed to break the deadlock as the game ended goalless.
Messi came close to scoring a couple of times for Inter Miami in the second half, but his shots ended up hitting the crossbar and side netting. MLS club Inter Miami are part of Group A in the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 alongside Al Ahly, Palmeiras and Portuguese side Porto.
