Israel’s President Isaac Herzog is set to embark on a three-day tour of communities along the Gaza border starting tomorrow, marking the one-year anniversary of the October 7 attacks. According to his office, the tour will begin at 6:29 a.m. at the site of the Nova music festival, where the Hamas attack commenced a year ago.
Herzog’s itinerary includes visits to several communities affected by the attacks, such as Neve Eshkol, Magen, Nirim, Ein Hashlosha, Nir Oz, Kissufim, the Re’im Base, Kibbutz Re’im, and Be’eri.

The first day of the tour will conclude with a ceremony at the destroyed Sderot police station, honoring those who lost their lives in the ongoing conflict.
On October 8, Herzog plans to visit additional areas, including Alumim, Nahal Oz, Kfar Aza, Mefalsim, Yachini, Sderot, Nir Am, Erez, Netiv Ha’asara, and Zikim beach.
The final day will see Herzog visiting Kibbutz Kerem Shalom, Pri Gan, Holit, Sufa, Nir Yitzhak, Ein HaBesor, Mivtahim, Yesha, the Urim Base, and Ofakim.
In a statement about the tour, Herzog expressed his commitment to the affected communities: “As a person, as an Israeli, as a Jew, and as the president of Israel, I will visit the sites and the representatives of the communities whose worlds were destroyed that day. I promise — we will rebuild and rebuild everything anew — a building that cannot be complete without the hostages returning home.”
The tour aims to commemorate the tragic events of October 7 and reinforce the message of resilience and rebuilding in the wake of the violence.
