Paris: In a shocking update to a case that has deeply disturbed France, the woman who was sexually assaulted by 50 men after being drugged by her husband recently testified in court, recounting the harrowing details of her ordeal.
Recounting her traumatic experience, the woman identified as Gisele Pelicot spoke during the disturbing trial about being raped by a dozen of men.
Her Husband, Dominique has been accused of allegedly slipping tranquillisers into his wife’s dinner before filming men abusing her inside her own home in nine years. The 71-year-old elderly man is also accused of sending out invitations to recruiters with phrases such as “you’re like me – you like rape mode,” as per media reports.
Speaking in the court, the 72-year-old woman said, “every woman who’s been drugged without knowing it…” in the hopes that in future, “no woman has to suffer.”
“It’s unbearable,” she testified. “I have so much to say that I don’t always know where to start.”
While she was questioned, Gisele recalled a brief moment in November in that movement when she realised what happened to her, as previously she had no idea that her husband took pleasure in seeing her abused by other men.
Pélicot had been previously arrested for taking under-skirt photographs of women at a supermarket.
‘My Daughter Naked’
The horrific details don’t end here. During a court hearing, going through Dominique P’s computer, the police found a specific folder titled ‘My Daughter Naked,’ Judge Roger Arata revealed.
As per the foreign media outlet, the judge made these revelations, the daughter broke down in the court and was shaking uncontrollably. Furthermore, it was told that Dominique gave tranquilisers to his daughter the same way he did to his wife.
After this, the girl fell unconscious, and he partially undressed her in her mother’s clothes and photographed her.
As per the court, the pictures were taken at their homes in Paris in 2013.
