New Delhi: UFC’s well-known commentator Joe Rogan answered the next big Champion vs Champion fight in the UFC. It was a no-brainer for Rogan as he selected the UFC Lightweight champion to battle out against the UFC Featherweight champion in the 70 kg category.
Rogan owns a podcast channel named ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’, and in a recent episode, he talked about his next favorite fight in the UFC. Topuria might defend his title against Alexsander Volkanovski in the featherweight division.
Rogan wants Volkanovski to go against rising UFC star Dieogo Lopes, who is currently on five-win streak. Volkanovski lost his last three bouts in the UFC which includes two knock-out losses as well.
Matt Serra suggested Topuria to defend his title two-three times in the featherweight division before going to the lightweight division. Rogan denied his view as he thinks Volkanovski is the number one contender and he should be the one to win one or two fight in the division before going to the title opportunity.
“Yeah, it’d be nice. But also who cares? Let’s go. Let’s f*cking go.” Rogan on Makhachev vs Topuria fight.
Rogan also suggested that apart from Volk, Lopes is the biggest benefactor for a title shot as he is on a five-win streak in the division, and Volk is on a three-fight losing streak.
Currently, in the Lightweight division, there are no much options for the champion and Topuria brings a new challenge for Makhachev with his striking power and the fight will be more intense if Makhachev also battles him with his striking.
