New Delhi: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) young batter Angkrish Raghuvanshi faced a lot of criticism from fans after he made a remark on Badminton star Saina Nehwal. The 20-year-old later deleted his tweet and apologised. He said that he meant his remarks as a joke and looking back he thinks it was really immature joke.

Saina Nehwal said that other sports are physically more demanding to which Angkrish replied ‘Let’s see how she goes when Bumrah bowls 150 Kmph bumpers at her head’ but he later deleted the tweet.

‘I feel bad that cricket gets all the attention’: Saina Nehwal
Team India defeated South Africa in the final and ended the long-standing ICC trophy drought. BCCI announced INR 125 crore to the World Cup-winning team. But after the Maharashtra government awarded a cash prize to their state cricketers, Indian badminton player Chirag Shetty criticised the government and said athletes from other sports also deserve to be recognised.
Saina Nehwal also expressed her displeasure and said that sometimes she feel bad that cricket gets all the attention and other sports are tougher than cricket. She also said that a game like cricket gets so much attention where she believes skill is more important.
“Sometimes, I feel bad that cricket gets all the attention. The thing about cricket is… if you see badminton, basketball, tennis, and other sports are so tough physically. You don’t even have time to pick up the shuttle and serve, you are like… you are breathing so hard. A game like cricket gets so much of attention where I personally believe skill is more important” Saina said on the Nikhil Simha podcast.
