New Delhi: Team India wicketkeeper-batter KL Rahul recently took part in a fun session where he was asked to rank the top five batters in the current scenario. There was a major twist in the game as Rahul did not have to bring his own batters forth but was rather given a set of five and was asked to place them in the list of five. He didn’t know the name of the batters coming next.
It all happened in an Instagram video shared by Raj Varma who goes by the username “snaxgaming”. The host first asked Rahul to rank Travis Head – a major headache for India. Rahul was smart enough to judge that a lot of big names will follow so he kept the Aussie opener at the last position. Next in line was Rohit Sharma who Rahul took no time in placing second.
He was then asked about Babar Azam whom he placed at number four and put compatriot Suryakumar Yadav on the third spot. Virat Kohli was the last name Rahul was asked to place and he crowned him at the top, saying that he knew Kohli’s going to be the final one.

In the same video, Rahul also ranked the top five bowlers. He placed England great James Anderson second and put Dale Steyn at the top. He was asked about Rashid Khan whom he placed at number four and ranked Jasprit Bumrah at third place. He ranked Pakistan’s Naseem Shah in the fifth spot.
Rahul to feature in Bangladesh Tests
Meanwhile, Rahul will be next seen in action in the two-match Test series against Bangladesh. His selection in the squad for the first Test surprised many as the selectors showed faith in him and his capabilities, keeping in mind the Border Gavaskar Trophy in November this year as well.
He is currently a part of India A in the ongoing Duleep Trophy and showed his skillset by scoring a half-century against India B but in a lost cause. He will reportedly get the advantage in the playing XI as well ahead of Sarfaraz Khan due to his vast experience. The first Test starts on September 19 at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
KL Rahul was asked to place a set of five current batters across the world in the list of top five batting greats. Check out where did he place compatriots and stalwarts Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. Cricket Sports News: Latest Cricket News, Cricket Live Score, Sports Breaking News from Sports Today
