Earlier Lamine Yamal was named in the UEFA Euro 2024 Team of the Tournament after playing a key role in Spain’s success. He is one of the six Spanish stars in the XI and the only Barcelona star to make the cut.
Yamal was also named the Best Young Player of the Tournament and has been busy celebrating Spain’s success after beating England in the finals in Berlin.
How the goal was selected:
UEFA appointed technical observers at every match in Germany. The selected observers analysed the proceedings from a coaching perspective and selected the Player of the Match for each game. At the end of the final in Berlin, they came together to decide the Team, Player, Young Player, and Goals of the Tournament.
