New Delhi: Madhya Pradesh’s biggest cricket tournament, MPL 2025, is all set to kick off on June 12, with seven men’s and three women’s teams vying for the trophy this year. All the matches will be played at the newly built Madhav Rao Scindia Stadium in Gwalior. On Friday, in a program organised by the team Rewa Jaguars in Indore, MPL’s chairman, Mahanaryaman Scindia, announced the league’s Green Initiative and also launched MPL’s gaming app.
Following the path of the Indian Premier League (IPL), which was the first to introduce the initiative, now MPL too will see the plantation of saplings on every dot ball bowled in a game. Every single dot ball will result in one tree getting planted by the MPL management. In his address on Friday, Mahanaryaman Scindia said that there is a need for a green revolution in every state of the country.
He also highlighted honourable Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi’s program “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” which is currently underway across India, and said that MPL also understands its responsibility for the same. “Therefore, in the second edition of MPL, we will also plant a tree on every dot ball so that the environment of Madhya Pradesh can further be improved,” Scindia added.
MPL Cricket Clash launched
Scindia also launched the cricket gaming app of the league named “MPL Cricket Clash”, which can be downloaded from the Google Play Store and the iPhone App Store. In the game, players can choose their profile, can make their favourite MPL team their own, and can also pick up a player and start batting.
Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia also gave a message through a video in the program that saw the launch of MPL’s Green Initiative and its gaming app. He praised all the team owners and players for the continuous success of MPL, and also wished them good luck to make this year successful as well.
After the IPL, Madhya Pradesh League (MPL) has undertaken the green initiative as well, vowing to plant trees for every dot ball bowled in a game. MPL has also become the first league to launch a gaming app. Cricket Sports News: Latest Cricket News, Cricket Live Score, Sports Breaking News from Sports Today
