Trains from Hyderabad to Prayagraj

While there are many connecting trains from Hyderabad to Prayagraj, there is only one direct train from Hyderabad to the venue of the Mahakumbh Mela. After coming to Delhi, many connecting trains are available from there for Prayagraj.

SC DNR Super Fast Express (12791): It will depart at 9:25 am from Secunderabad Junction and will reach Prayagraj’s Cheoki Railway station on the next day at 10:00 pm. The travel time is approximately 43 hours and 15 minutes. The fare in AC 3-Tier is Rs 3,170.
Sampark Kranti Express (12649): You can reach New Delhi from Hyderabad with this train. It will depart from Kacheguda railway station in Hyderabad at 8:15 am and will reach Prayagraj on the second day at 8:10 am. The total travel time is approximately 25 hours and 55 minutes. The fare in the Sleeper Class is Rs 695, the fare in AC 3-Tier is Rs 1,825 and the fare in AC 2-Tier is Rs 2,625.

How to reach the fair venue after reaching Prayagraj?

One can take an auto-rickshaw with Rs 200 to Rs 300 to reach the venue of the Mela. One can take bus for Rs 50 per person or cab service for Rs 400 to Rs 600. Always use local transport to reach Sangam Ghat and other major bathing ghats. The total expense will include train fare of Rs 800 to Rs 3,500, local transport which will cost Rs 250 to Rs 600, and food and other expenses which will take Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,500. The total expense will be Rs 2,050 to Rs 5,600.
