New Delhi: Free Aadhaar Update deadline has been extended by the UIDAI to December 14, 2024, from September 15, 2024. Earlier, failing to update Aadhaar before September 14, 2024, would have led to a Rs 50 per service fee after this date. The UIDAI in an update on social media platform X stated that the free online document upload facility has been extended until December 14, 2024. The move is likely to benefit millions of Aadhaar number holders, the UIDAI said.
The free service can be accessed only on the myAadhaar portal, the nodal agency for Aadhaar said. The UIDAI urged members of the public to ensure that their documents were updated in Aadhaar.

Click on the documents update section
This allows you to upload proof of identity and proof of address for free
Click on what to submit and how to submit
Next, click on Submit
Enter your Aadhaar number and the security Captcha code
Choose login with OTP
Log in by entering your OTP
Next, you are required to update your name, phone number and address and also attach a proof of identity and address
Ensure that your demographic details are updated on the portal
If not, visit the nearest Aadhaar centre to update your name, gender, address, date of birth
For address only click the box below

Now upload your proofs of identity and address in the prescribed format
