New Delhi: Industry body CII’s India Skills Report 2025 stated that around 55 per cent Indian graudates will be globally emplyable by 2025, compared to 51.2 per cent in 2024. CII published the report in partnership with Wheebox and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Facultywise, Indian management graduates were the most employable at 78 per cent, followed by engineering graduates at 71.5 per cent. MCA graduates (71 per cent) and science graduates (58 per cent) were also highly employable, according to the report.

Genderwise, the male employability rate is expected to rise by 53.5 per cent by 2025 compared to 51.8 per cent in 2024, while the women’s employability rate is likely to rise by 47.5 per cent, down from 50.9 per cent earlier. Certified skills programmes with embedded language training over the next decade could unlock international mobility for Indian students, said India Skills Report convenor Nirmal Singh.
The CII’s Decoding Jobs 2025 report stated that overall hiring intent for FY26 stood at 98 per cent. Global Capability centres along with heavy engineering firms as well as banks and financial institutions led with 12 per cent intent. Core industries’ hiring intent stood at 11.5 per cent followed by 10 per cent intent shown by the FMCG sector.
