Malayalam actor Siddique receives interim relief from arrest by Supreme Court in rape case

Supreme Court on Monday granted interim protection from arrest to Malayalam film actor Siddique in a rape case. A bench of Justices Bela M Trivedi and Satish Chandra Sharma issued notice to the Kerala government and the victim in the case during the hearing of a plea by Siddique challenging a Kerala High Court order which denied him anticipatory bail. Supreme Court on Monday granted interim protection from arrest to Malayalam film actor Siddique in a rape case. The film also stars Laila Majnu fame actor Avinash Tiwari in the lead role. ‘The Mehta Boys’ film is based on a father-son relationship and talks about the essence of that bond. Boman’s directorial debut was the opening film of the prestigious International Film Festival of South Asia Toronto. The entire cast also went to the Chicago South Asian Film Festival as the film premiered as the opening film there as well. However, the day turned extra special for the team as they even won Best Feature Film award at the film festival.
