New Delhi: Manchester City are on a hunt and as they search for new offensive midfield players this summer, Pep Guardiola and City have been keeping an eye on Florian Wirtz and Morgan Gibbs-White. Next month, City will select its top targets for the next transfer window after hiring Hugo Viana as its new sporting director.
City has been keeping an eye on a number of talents, including Gibbs-White of Forest and Wirtz of Leverkusen. Manchester City targetting a rival?
With Forest vying for a Champions League spot, Morgan Gibbs-White, who has five goals and nine assists in 27 Premier League games has been a crucial figure in that midfield. The 25-year-old has two caps after being called up to the England squad for the first time in August of last year. This is already his third season with Forest where the Englishman has been a standout performer even during the dark times where The Tricky Trees where having quite a tricky time in the relegation battle.
However, this season it’s quite the opposite as they are battling for the Champions League spot against contenders like Chelsea, Newcastle and Manchester City. His unbelievable ability on the ball and also the ability to score and provide makes him the perfect fit in that Manchester City lineup.
