Manchester United part ways with manager Erik Ten Hag following two years in charge

New Delhi: Erik ten Hag has been terminated as the manager of Manchester United following Sunday’s 2-1 loss against West Ham in the Premier League. The Dutch manager was informed about his sacking on Monday and will be leaving Old Trafford after two and half years in charge of the club.

The loss against West Ham means United are currently ranked 14th in Premier League, having collected just 11 points after nine games, with four losses this season. The club have announced that former striker Ruud van Nistelrooy, who was recruited back during the offseason to work with Ten Hag, will be in charge of the side on an interim term, with all the other management staff remaining in the same position as of now.
