Manu Bhaker celebrates Raksha Bandhan with brother, cooks food in ‘maa ki classes’

New Delhi: Ace Indian shooter Manu Bhaker is taking some time off her shooting schedule and is spending quality time at her home with her family. On Monday, as the entire India celebrated Raksha Bandhan, Manu too tied Rakhi to her brother and also notably cooked for her family on the occasion. She shared a video of the same on her social media account with a special mention of her mother.

Manu claimed all the spotlight in the past few weeks as she claimed two bronze medals for India at the recently concluded Paris Olympics 2024 in the air pistol event. She was on the verge of completing a triple but stood fourth in the women’s 25m air pistol event. When she arrived in India, a few days after, she decided to take a three-month break after her Paris campaign, aiming to focus on yoga, fitness, and martial arts.

On Raksha Bandhan, the 22-year-old shared a picture of herself with her brother Akhil Bhaker on her Instagram story which was followed by a short video of herself cooking in the kitchen. She shared a sneak peek of trying out her culinary skills with a nice caption. She wrote, “Chutti ka sahi istemal krte hue maa ki classes (Making the right use of holidays with mom’s classes).”

Manu’s upcoming plans

As Manu has taken a three-month break from shooting to fully rejuvenate herself in order to begin the Los Angeles 2028 preparation, she plans to stay dedicated to her yoga practice. She also hopes to engage in several other hobbies such as horse riding, skating, violin, and also Bharatnatyam.

Manu was once a karate enthusiast, which she gave up as she took up shooting. “Now that I have some time off, I can probably get back into martial arts,” India Today quoted Manu as saying. “I’ve been waiting for this—after the Olympics, I wanted to try horse riding and so many other things like skydiving and scuba diving. I’ve waited so long,” Manu added.

Manu Bhaker spent her Raksha Bandhan at home, celebrating the festival with her brother and also cooked food for her family, the video of which she shared on her Instagram.  Other Sports Sports News: Latest Cricket News, Cricket Live Score, Sports Breaking News from Sports Today
