New Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced Team India’s squad for the upcoming three-match home T20I series against Bangladesh. With the two-match Test series reaching its final stages, focus was shifting towards the T20Is, and a squad announcement was anticipated soon. The BCCI has finally unveiled the squad for Bangladesh T20Is which comprises 15 members, making it a strong set-up to take on the neighbours.
There have been notable additions to the squad while some players, who were doubtful to be picked are present in the 15-man squad. Two IPL 2024 sensations – Mayank Yadav and Nitish Kumar Reddy have received their maiden T20I call-ups for Team India and will be expected to make their debuts in the blue jerseys soon.
Sanju Samson, after making a strong case with a ton in the recently concluded Duleep Trophy, secured himself a spot. He is the second wicketkeeper in the squad alongside Jitesh Sharma.

India’s squad for three Bangladesh T20Is:
Suryakumar Yadav (c), Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson (wk), Rinku Singh, Hardik Pandya, Riyan Parag, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Shivam Dube, Washington Sundar, Ravi Bishnoi, Varun Chakaravarthy, Jitesh Sharma (wk), Arshdeep Singh, Harshit Rana, Mayank Yadav.
IND vs BAN T20I series schedule
After the completion of the ongoing Test series, India and Bangladesh are bound to play three T20Is at Gwalior, New Delhi, and Hyderabad. The first T20I will be played at the newly constructed Shrimant Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium in Gwalior on October 6. The second T20I will be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on October 9 while for the final T20I, the teams will move to Hyderabad to lock horns at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on October 12.
