Md. Siraj emulates Sam Konstas’ celebration after dismissing Labuschagne – WATCH

New Delhi: Mohammed Siraj removed Australian middle order batter Marnus Labuschagne with a great delivery in the second innings of the Boxing Day Test between Australia and India at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on Sunday, December 29. Labuschagne was well set and looking to score his hundred but Siraj picked his wicket on 70 runs.

The hosts kept losing wickets but Labuschagne held one end and batted brilliantly. But in the 56th over, Siraj bowled a length ball that came back in sharply from outside off. Labuschagne was caught in the crease as he looked to defend the ball but missed the ball completely and it hit on the back leg. Labuschagne took the review and the wickets were on umpire’s call. Siraj was pumped after taking the wicket and emulated the way Sam Konstas celebrated Kohli’s wicket.

Jadeja removed the Australian Captain on 41 runs to end the partnership. Jasprit Bumrah took 4 wickets and Siraj picked up 3 wickets while Ravindra Jadeja also took 1 wicket so far. Boland and Lyon are currently batting in the middle and frustrating Indian players with 10th wicket partnership.

Rohit and Co. need to win the remaining two matches of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy to qualify for the World Test Championship (WTC) final. Team India is in third position while South Africa is in first position and Australia is in second position on the WTC standings.
