New Delhi: Michael Vaughan’s teenager son Archie took the County Championship by storm after bagging a sensational six-wicket haul. Archie continued to make waves in the County Championship Division 1 with his remarkable bowling effort grabbing eyeballs of one and all in his second County match.
Archie, who is among the top young prospects in England and was recently named for an U-19 series, took the wickets of Rory Burns, Ben Foakes among others. He picked his six-wicket haul in the game for Somerset against Surrey. With his remarkable show in the contest, Archie helped Somerset restrict Championship leaders Surrey to 321.

In just his second first-class match, in a top of the table clash against Surrey, he bowled 25 overs on day two to finish with figures of 25-6-45-3.

Not only with the ball, he displayed his prowess with the bat as well hitting 44 in the first innings for Somerset after opening the batting. On the second day of the contest, he claimed all the three Surrey wickets, including the major ones like Burns and Dom Sibley till stumps. On the next day, he added three more wickets in his kitty taking the tally to six.
The off-spinner finished with figures of 6 for 102 after bowling 37 overs, which included seven maidens. As soon as he completed his six-wicket haul, social media became abuzz with his performance with netizens lauding the young boy’s show.
