Mithali made her India debut at the young age of 16 in an ODI against Ireland in 1999 and soon went on to establish her credentials as one of the best batters in the world in women’s cricket. Mithali Raj also holds the record for the most fifty-plus scores by any batter in women’s ODIs. She finished her career with a total of 71 fifty-plus scores in ODIs, the highest in women’s ODIs. She slammed 7 centuries and 64 half-centuries for India.

3) Most wins as captain in women’s ODIs

The legendary Mithali Raj also holds the record for most wins as captain in women’s ODIs. Mithali captained India in a total of 155 women’s ODIs and won 89. She also led India in 28 matches in the Women’s ODI World Cup the most by any player in the world.

4) Longest career in women’s ODIs

Mithali Raj made her ODI debut for the Indian women’s cricket team in 1999 and played her final ODI in 2022. Her ODI career spanned 22 years and 274 days which is the longest career for any player in women’s ODI history.

5) Youngest to score double century in women’s Tests

Mithali Raj also holds the record for being the youngest double centurion in women’s Test history. Mithali scored her maiden Test double ton against England in Taunton in 2002. She became the youngest double centurion in women’s Tests at 19 years and 254 days.
