New Delhi: The TV9 Festival of India, which began on October 9, 2024, at the Major Dhyan Chand Stadium in New Delhi, brought together the best of Indian culture, handicrafts, and music under one roof. This vibrant lifestyle expo, organised by TV9 Network, features over 250 stalls from various countries, offering visitors a chance to explore global lifestyle trends and authentic regional traditions. Running until October 13, the festival provides a unique blend of shopping, entertainment, and cultural experiences.
As part of the Durga Puja festivities, the event saw participation from prominent political figures, including senior BJP leader and former Union minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi and former Delhi deputy chief minister and AAP leader Manish Sisodia. Both leaders paid their respects to the Durga idol and participated in the celebrations. Naqvi praised the festival’s showcase of India’s diverse culture and called it “a congregation of talented artists.” The festival truly resembles a “mini global village” for artisans, with intricate handicrafts on display, reflecting India’s rich heritage.
A celebration of Durga Puja and cultural unity
The event also attracted other political leaders, such as BJP’s national spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi and Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate, adding to the festival’s significance. In addition to the spiritual aspect of Durga Puja, the festival is brimming with entertainment and cultural performances. More than 30 musicians are performing across genres like Sufi, Bollywood, and folk music, creating a vibrant atmosphere.
For shoppers, the festival offers a variety of lifestyle products, home decor, and traditional crafts. Food stalls featuring diverse cuisines add to the global experience.
Visitors can enjoy a series of Durga Puja rituals, from Mahashashti to Vijayadashami, as they engage in a rich cultural and spiritual journey. With its lively atmosphere, the TV9 Festival of India is a true celebration of both tradition and modernity, making it a must-visit event this festive season.
