New Delhi: In a perfect build-up to the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy, fans will witness the epic rivalry between India and Pakistan in a special documentary on Netflix. The streaming giant announced on Monday that the documentary – “The Greatest Rivalry: India vs Pakistan” – will be released on 7 February on Netflix.
The docuseries will showcase some epic matches between the two rivals across history. The documentary will show the India vs Pakistan rivalry which is dubbed even “bigger than the Ashes” through several on-field and off-field incidents, and personal stories while capturing the raw emotions of the fans and the players from both countries.
The special series, which will explore the drama, passion, and high-octane intensity of the fierce rivalry on the home soil of both countries, will showcase several nail-biting finishes and heated moments on the pitch.
The release date (February 7) of the documentary comes at a perfect time. With the Champions Trophy starting on February 19 and India and Pakistan clashing four days later on February 23, the docuseries will amp up the intensity and excitement for the marquee clash.
Special documentary to feature several cricket icons
The series will reportedly explore untold stories of the first India-Pakistan ODI with several legends like Virender Sehwag, Sourav Ganguly, Sunil Gavaskar and Shoaib Akhtar opening up on the on-field and off-field encounters between the two sides.
“The Greatest Rivalry: India vs Pakistan” will showcase players from both countries spilling never-told-before secrets and sharing some remarkable anecdotes.
The docuseries, helmed by Chandradev Bhagat and Stewart Sugg, is directed by Grey Matter Entertainment. “The Greatest Rivalry: India vs. Pakistan” will debut exclusively on Netflix, ahead of the Champions Trophy on February 7.
