New York to Mumbai: 5 deadliest terror attacks in history

New Delhi: Terrorism, over the years, has become a tool for militant organisations to send across their message. The terrorists do not regard the human lives they massacre, nor do they consider the pain and agony that follow a terror attack. For them, only the intention of creating a state of anarchy and chaos is paramount and they would stop at nothing to fulfil their goal, even if it means destroying the lives of numerous common people. In this article, we will take a look at some of the biggest terrorist attacks in history.

Five worst terrorist attacks in history

1. 9/11 attacks

The 9/11 attacks remain the most devastating terror attacks in the history of both the US and the world. Perpetrated by the militant outfit Al Qaeda, the attacks killed 2,977 people.
