New Delhi: The News9 Corporate Badminton Championship 2025 concluded successfully at the Pullela Gopichand Academy in Hyderabad on Sunday, May 11, with top companies like Amazon, Infosys and Cycle Agarbatti winning big. The tournament organised by the TV9 Network received an incredible response from the employees of major corporate firms across the nation.
Employees from the likes of Amazon, Wipro, and Deloitte. Genpact, Infosys, and Capgemini, among others, had taken part in the tournament, which ran from May 09 to 11. Players took part in events ranging across four categories – men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles and mixed doubles. The players showcased their skills and flair on the court to produce some enthralling matches in the corporate tournament.
Amazon wins men’s singles title
Amazon’s Lauhit won the men’s singles title at the News9 Corporate Badminton Championship after beating Anurag of Infosys in the final. It was a hard-fought final between the two players, but Lauhit showcased his grit to close out a 21-16, 19-21, 21-10 victory in three games. Anurag finished runner-up while his Infosys teammate Bharat finished third in the men’s singles category.
Infosys clinches mixed doubles and men’s doubles titles
While Infosys players shone in the men’s singles category, they also dominated the proceedings in the mixed doubles by winning the title. Infosys won the mixed doubles crown, while Microsoft and Fin Mkt clinched the second and the third spot, respectively. Infosys also won the men’s doubles title after beating the team from Microsoft in the final.
Cycle Agarbatti wins women’s singles title
Representing N Rangarao & Sons (Cycle Agarbatti), MS Chinmayee performed brilliantly throughout the tournament to win the women’s singles title at the News9 Corporate Badminton Championship 2025. Chinmayee defeated Bhumika of Qualcomm in the final to bag the title. Pramada from DPS Nacharam finished third in the women’s singles category.
