New Delhi: News9’s unique initiative, the ‘Indian Tigers and Tigresses’ talent hunt continued its thrilling journey across India, with Mumbai playing host to an electrifying chapter of the nationwide football trials. After successful stops in Delhi, Punjab (Ludhiana), and Karnataka (Bengaluru), the football frenzy reached the country’s financial capital, drawing an overwhelming response from young footballers eager to make their mark.
The lush green grounds of Orchids, The International School in Thane was the location chosen for this display of raw talent and dreams as aspiring footballers ushered in from various parts of the country. Participants reached for the trials from different parts of Maharashtra, Gujarat and even Hyderabad. While the children focused on showcasing their talents, proud parents watched from the sidelines, their cheers adding to the electrifying atmosphere as their children fought for a chance to impress the scouts.
Under the watchful eyes of expert selectors and coaches, the young athletes delivered breathtaking performances, proving that India’s footballing future is bright. The trials, categorized into age groups 12-14 and 15-17, saw intense competition, with each player pushing their limits in a bid to advance to the next stage. The best performers from the Mumbai trials will now move on to a two-day camp in Delhi, where they will compete against the top talents from all across the country.
Only the most exceptional young footballers will earn a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to train in Austria, where they will experience world-class coaching and facilities. For many, this is more than just a chance to sharpen their skills—it’s a gateway to the global footballing stage.
