New Delhi: The ongoing “Operation Sindoor” has rattled Pakistan, as multiple drone attacks inflicted heavy damage on Rawalpindi, Lahore and Karachi. After successful missile strikes on nine terrorist camps in Pakistan in response in retaliation to the horrific terrorist attack on April 22, in which 26 civilians, were gunned down in south Kashmir’s Pahalgam, India on Thursday foiled attempts by the Pakistani military to target several cities in Northern and Western India using drones and missiles.
In response to the failed attacks, India launched multiple drone attacks on Thursday and severely damaged cities like Lahore, Attock, Gujranwala, Chakwal, Rawalpindi, Bahawalpur, Mianwali, Chor and Karachi.
The drone attack also damaged parts of Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium ahead of the Pakistan Super League match between Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings today (May 8, Thursday). The attacks have reportedly forced the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to shift all the remaining matches of the ongoing PSL to Karachi.
The T20 league, which features six franchises and is in its final stages, is currently being staged in Rawalpindi. It is scheduled to wind up on May 18 in Lahore.

Following India’s missile strikes on nine locations in Pakistan in the early hours of Wednesday, the Pakistan Military attempted to target Awantipura, Srinagar, Jammu, Pathankot, Amritsar, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Adampur, Bhatinda, Chandigarh, Nal, Phalodi, Uttarlai, and Bhuj. However, India’s defence system foiled all the attacks.
In response, the country’s defence forces also destroyed a Pakistani air defence system in Lahore, according to official sources.
