PAK vs BAN: Khurram Shahzad rattles Bangladesh’s top order with double-wicket over – WATCH

New Delhi: Fast bowler Khurram Shahzad bowled a brilliant spell on the Day 3 of the second Test match between Pakistan and Bangladesh in Rawalpindi. He dismissed Shadman Islam and Najmul Shanto in the same over and provided a brilliant start to Pakistan with the ball.

Khurram got the wicket of Shadman Islam on the first ball of the 8th over. The Pakistani pacer angled the ball from around the wicket towards the leg stump. Shadman and failed to get any bat on the ball to save his wicket and the stumps rattled. On the fourth delivery, he bowled a full delivery angling onto the middle and leg from round the wicket. The ball came in very sharply from the angle and Najmul Hossain Shanto lost his balance as he tried to glance it away but failed to make any contact with the ball as it hits the stump.

Bangladesh 193/8 at tea on Day 3

Bangladesh were 10/0 at the stumps on Day 2 but lost their first wicket in the fourth over on Day 3. Shahzad dismissed Zakir Hasan on 10 runs. The speedster further dismissed Shadman Islam in the very next over and both Bangladesh openers were back in the dressing room with just 19 runs on the scoreboard. Shahzad got another wicket after three balls and dismissed skipper Shanto on 4 runs.

Left-arm pacer Mir Hamza got the wicket of Mominul Haque on just 1 run and Bangladesh were in trouble with the loss of 4 wickets in just 20 runs. Litton Das and Mehidy Hasan stitched  a 165-run partnership and got their team out of the trouble.  Shahzad dismissed Mehidy Hasan on 78 runs and picked up his fifth wicket of the innings. Liton is still batting in the middle and Bangladesh are 193/8 on tea.
