New Delhi: Double Olympic gold-medallist Carlos Yulo of the Philippines was gifted a luxurious apartment on his homecoming as he returned from the Paris Olympics 2024 with two gold medals. On August 14, Filipino real-estate company Megaworld Corporation lavished Yulo with a P32-million (over Rs. 4.5 crore) three-bedroom fully furnished condominium unit at McKinley Hill in Taguig City.
He also received a P3-million cash bonus with the apartment for his heroics that brought laurels to the nation. Participating in artistic gymnastics, Yulo topped the rankings in the men’s vault and men’s floor categories with a respective score of 15.116 and 15.000, clinching two gold medals and asserting himself as a one-man and a dominant army in the events.

He returned home to a grand welcome and rousing reception and received several other gifts as well. But the gift of his luxurious three-bedroom condo indeed stood out. Ever since the videos of Yulo with Megaworld officials taking a house tour have gone viral, it has left fans in awe of the abode as they hail the real estate company for their generous gesture towards Yulo and acknowledging his efforts.

Condo’s salient features
The lavish unit includes advanced home appliances like washing and drying machines and smart televisions installed in each of the bedrooms. The hall area of the place also has a custom-made coffee table that takes its design from the Paris Olympics gold medal. The whole abode is inspired by modern contemporary interior designing and it is noteworthy that the developer spent six days to dress up the house.
The unit also has frames of all the front pages of newspapers that showcase Yulo’s heroics in the French capital as well as a few pictures of the Filipino athlete in different corners of his new home. The condo also has a parking spot.
Other than the apartment, he also received a special leaf art piece from Alliance Global Group President and CEO Kevin L. Tan and Megaworld President Lourdes T. Gutierrez-Alfonso during the unveiling. The art piece is made of real rubber tree leaves and is handcrafted by Megaworld employee and leaf artist Edimar Paclibar. It showcases Yulo’s portrait, the 2024 Paris Olympics logo, and the iconic landmark of McKinley Hill.
