Kiran Rao’s Laapataa Ladies OUT of Oscar race as Academy announces shortlist for Best International Film Laapataa Ladies, directed by Kiran Rao, was India’s official entry to Oscars 2025 in the Best Foreign Language Film category but failed to make it into the top 10. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced the shortlists in 10 categories for the upcoming 97th Oscars ceremony on Tuesday. However, this list didn’t have the name of Kiran Rao’s latest directorial. Produced under the banners of Aamir Khan Productions, Kindling Pictures, and Jio Studios, Laapataa Ladies was released in theatres on March 1 this year. 

Saif Ali Khan to be discharged from ICU, needs to take rest for a few days: Lilavati Hospital doctors Saif Ali Khan, who is currently admitted to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital, is fine now. COO of Lilavati Hospital, Niraj Uttamani, addressed a press conference wherein he shared a health update of the actor and said that Saif Ali Khan is doing better now but needs to take rest for a few days. Saif Ali Khan is being shifted from the ICU to a special room. Dr Nitin Dange Chief Neurosurgeon said, that Saif’s condition is better, can walk now and has no problem walking. ”We have advised him to rest for a few days,” he said.

Veer Zaara re-release trivia: Gurdas Maan reveals he paused his film’s shoot to join Shah Rukh Khan starrer Punjabi music legend Gurdas Maan has shared his memories of working on the songs ‘Aisa Des Hai Mera’ and ‘Lohri’ from the Shah Rukh Khan-Preity Zinta starrer ‘Veer-Zaara’. The music icon crooned both songs and even made a cameo appearance in ‘Aisa Des Hai Mera’ as he did Bhangra with Shah Rukh Khan. The singer said that the cameo wasn’t planned and it was at the insistence of the late filmmaker Yash Chopra that he featured in the song.
