New Delhi: The Tottenham Hotspurs midfielder, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, is in advanced talks to join the French side, Marseille The 28-year-old is reportedly available for roughly £17 million and is thought to be prepared to leave north London. Although the modalities of payment are still being discussed, both parties anticipate that the sale will close. In 2020, during Jose Mourinho’s tenure at Tottenham Hotspurs, Hojbjerg signed a £15 million contract to join Spurs.
Only ten of the midfielder’s 39 appearances for the team last season were starts, as Ange Postecoglou favored Pape Matar Sarr and Yves Bissouma in center midfield. The previous season was rather underwhelming for the Danish midfielder as he couldn’t make a single goal contribution for Spurs while his 2022-23 season saw him get nine goal contributions for Tottenham.
However, Hojbejrg has always been a solid player for which ever side he has played for and he has always been a player who likes to sit back and commit to his defensive duties. The Dane is in the final year of his Tottenham deal; if new terms are not worked out, he will be free to go elsewhere in 2025.

With the addition of Lucas Bergvall from Swedish club Djurgardens and Archie Gray from Leeds, Spurs have bolstered their midfield this summer. Since Roberto de Zerbi, a former Brighton manager, was appointed, Marseille has been actively seeking new hires. They are apparently interested in Arsenal forward Eddie Nketiah. Midfielder Ismael Kone completed a deal from Watford last month, and forward Mason Greenwood arrived from Manchester United.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg looks set to join the French side Marseille from Tottenham Hotspur, if the English side and the Dane do not come to an agreement for another contract extension. Football Sports News: Latest Cricket News, Cricket Live Score, Sports Breaking News from Sports Today
