New Delhi: The most awaited Pro Kabaddi League auction is all set to take place in Mumbai in a two-day auction event on 15th and 16th August. More than 500 will be under the radar of the 12 franchises who will be building their squad for next season.
The players were retained in three categories by the franchises 22 players were retained in the Elite Retained Players (ERP), 26 players in the Retained Young Players (RYP), and 40 players in the New Yound Players (ENYP) categories. Many big stars were released by their franchises like Pawan Sehrawat, Fazel Atrachali, Mohammad Shadloui, Pardeep Narwal, and more.
Rules of the auction
The auction will be divided into four categories A, B, C, and D and all categories have different base prices as category A players have a base price of Rs. 30 lakhs, B category has Rs. 20 lakhs, C category has a base of Rs. 13 lakhs and D category will be an Rs. 9 lakhs base price.
Every team has a Rs. 5 crore in their purse but every team used most of their purse to retained the players. every team will have a minimum of 18 players and a maximum of 25 players.
There are 212 slots left to be filled by all teams as 88 players were retained by their franchises.
