New Delhi: During Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness’ first-ever bilateral visit to India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, apart from interacting with the Jamaican PM and other dignitaries, had a special guest in attendance. The brigade of the Jamaican PM Holness had none other than West Indies legend Chris Gayle with it and PM Modi, very pleasingly, welcomed the West Indies star.
The video and pictures of PM Modi’s handshake and brief interaction with Gayle on a couple of occasions during the meet went viral on social media. The former cricketer shared the video on his social media handles, saying that it was an honour to meet the Prime Minister of India and he felt absolutely delighted.
“Honour to have met with the Prime Minister of India @narendramodi. Jamaica To India,” followed by the hashtag “OneLove.” The video captures the charismatic cricketer greeting PM Modi with a respectful “Namaste,” underscoring the bond between India and Jamaica.
