New Delhi: Fulham striker Raul Jimenez has been enjoying a fine return to form this season after spending much of his career at the Craven Cottage looking like a shadow of his former self. The Mexican striker joined Fulham from Premier League rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers in the summer of 2023 but only scored seven goals for the Cottagers last season as they finished 13th last season.
He has been in great form this season and has already crossed his goal contributions from last season. In just 19 games this season, in which he’s played a little over 1000 minutes, Jimenez has scored six goals already and gotten two assists as well. He added another to his tally tonight by opening the scoring against Bournemouth and etched his name in the Premier League history books with it.

With his sixth Premier League goal of the season, Raul Jimenez has now scored 53 goals in the Premier League, moving level on the scoring charts with former Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez. Joining ‘Chicharito’ on 53 goals makes him the joint-highest scoring Mexican in the Premier league and another goal this season will see him go clear as the highest scoring Mexican in the English top-flight.

The Mexican striker took the Premier League by storm with former club Wolverhampton Wanderers after they were promoted back into the Premier League by former Wolves and current Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo. He joined the midlands club on loan in the 2018/19 season from Portuguese side Benfica and would go on to terrorize defenses with his displays for the club.
During his five year stint with the club, Jimenez would score 40 Premier League goals for Wolves and become the club’s all-time leading Premier League goal scorer. During the 2020/21 season, he suffered a horrific skull injury after clashing with then Arsenal defender David Luiz which threatened to end his career. He returned from the injury but lost his form after a lengthy layoff which led to him being moved on to Fulham but it seems like he’s returning to the form he showed at Wolves.
Fulham striker Raul Jimenez was once again on the scoresheet for Fulham as they drew 2-2 with Bournemouth in their final game of 2024 and matched a Premier League record by doing so. Football Sports News: Latest Cricket News, Cricket Live Score, Sports Breaking News from Sports Today
