Her pre-wedding functions will start on December 20 in Udaipur. She has invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Minister of Home Affairs Amit Shah, and Sachin Tendulkar to her wedding.
Sindhu shared pictures of her engagement on the social media platform Instagram. Accompanying the photo, she penned a heartfelt message: “When love beckons to you, follow him, for love gives naught but itself” reflecting the love and gratitude she feels during this joyous moment.
PV Sindhu’s wedding confirmed by her father
PV Sindhu’s father confirmed that she is going to get married on December 22 and her reception will be held in Hyderabad on December 24. Her father revealed that the two families knew each other for long but it was only a few months ago that their wedding was finalised.
“The two families knew each other, but it was only a month ago that everything was finalised. This was the only possible window as her schedule will be hectic from January,” Sindhu’s father, PV Ramana, told PTI.
He also said that the wedding was planned keeping Sindhu’s schedule in mind as she is expected to compete in the Malaysia Open season 1000 tournament, which will start on January 7. After the reception in Hyderabad, she will start her training for the next season as it will see the start of the next Olympic cycle.
“So that is the reason the two families decided to have the marriage ceremony on December 22. The reception will be held in Hyderabad on December 24. She will start her training soon after, as the next season is going to be important,” Ramana said.
