Rahul Chaudhari announces his retirement from PKL

New Delhi: ‘Poster Boy’ Rahul Chaudhari announced his retirement after he went unsold in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) season 11 auction. Rahul has been in this sport since 2010 and became a fan favorite in PKL. He was among some top stars who have been playing in the PKL since the inauguration season. He started his PKL journey with Telugu Titans and made many records with the franchises.

Rahul played for four franchises in his career, starting his career with Titans then went Tamil Thalaivas, Puneri Paltan, and then went to Jaipur Pink Panthers, and finally achieved PKL glory in his magnificent career. But this time no franchise showed faith in him and went unsold in the 2024 auction.

Rahul was also the brand ambassador of the UPKL tournament, he also expressed his regret by not playing in the UPKL. He also talked with his coach about playing in the UPKL but his coach declined as he told him ‘You are a player of another level’.

Rahul announced his retirement before the auction that he would be retiring from PKL after season 11 but he didn’t pull any franchise in this year’s auction so unfortunately he took retirement from PKL but will be seen in national colours. Now Rahul will be seen in other roles in the PKL 11.

Rahul Chaudhary’s achievements:

Rahul was the captain of the Indian Kabaddi team in the Beach Asian Games in 2014 which was held in Thailand. He was the skipper of the Uttar Pradesh team in the National Kabaddi Championship and won a Gold medal in the competition in 2015. Rahul was a member of the Indian team that won a Gold medal at the South Asian Games in 2016 and he was a crucial member of the Indian team in the Kabaddi World Cup and won a Gold medal in the event in 2016.
